Ceremonies
Do I need to have a specific religion or belief system for a ceremony?
Not at all. These ceremonies are interspiritual, secular-friendly, and belief-inclusive. This means they are designed around your actual beliefs, whatever they are. Religious, spiritual, agnostic, atheist, or somewhere in between. You do not need to believe in anything specific to have a ceremony that means something. You just need the moment to matter.
I've never heard of a ceremony for this. Is that something you actually offer?
Probably yes. If you're not sure whether what you're holding qualifies, reach out. There is almost certainly a ceremony for it here.
How does the ceremony process work?
It starts with a consultation in person, by phone, or text if that works better for you. You share your story, your wishes, and what you want the ceremony to hold. From there a ceremony script is written specifically for you. You review it, we refine it together, and on the day the space is held so you can be fully present. No generic scripts. Nothing that could belong to anyone else.
Where can ceremonies be held?
Anywhere that matters to you: your home, a garden, a park, a hospital room, a meaningful outdoor space. Ceremonies can also be held virtually for clients outside of my service area in Ohio. The location is always chosen around what feels right for the person being witnessed, not what's convenient.
Are your ceremonies legally officiated?
Yes, weddings and civil ceremonies are legally officiated in Ohio. Most other ceremonies do not require legal officiation and are held as meaningful ritual ceremonies rather than legal transactions.
What makes these ceremonies neurodivergent-affirming?
Every ceremony is designed with neurodivergent nervous systems in mind as a standard, not an accommodation. That means sensory-conscious environments, written programs so there are no surprises, flexible participation formats, communication options that work for you, and space to be however you are without pressure to perform. You do not need to mask here.
How much do ceremonies cost?
Pricing varies depending on the ceremony type, length, and whether travel is involved. Reach out for a custom quote. A consultation is always free and there is never any pressure. Sliding scale options are available for people facing financial hardship.
Legacy Photography & Films
What is a legacy film?
A legacy film is a documentary of life as it is right now: the relationships, the rhythms, the voices, the way someone moves through the world. These are interview-style, documentary-style, or a blend of both. Something your grandchildren will watch and know exactly who you were.
Can photography and film be combined with a ceremony?
Sometimes! Having your ceremony photographed or filmed means the moment is preserved as well as witnessed. This is particularly meaningful for ceremonies that mark significant or once-in-a-lifetime transitions.
What are The Spectrum Sessions?
The Spectrum Sessions are complimentary photography and film sessions offered on a limited basis throughout the year to families with children with complex medical needs. Sessions are completely free, sensory-conscious, and held entirely on your terms.
How far in advance should I book?
For birth photography, as early as possible (ideally in the first trimester). For other sessions, 4-6 weeks is generally enough. For infant loss photography, please reach out immediately, availability is prioritized for families in acute need.

Do I need any prior experience or qualifications to enroll?
No. The course is designed to take you from wherever you are to a fully practicing celebrant. Prior experience in care work, ceremony, or related fields is welcome but not required. What matters most is that you feel called to this work.
Is the course accessible for neurodivergent students?
Yes, that is the goal, intentionally and specifically. All content is available in multiple formats. Live sessions are never mandatory and are always recorded. Written intake and reflection options are offered alongside verbal ones. Pacing is flexible within the six-month window.
When does the course launch?
The Full-Spectrum Celebrant™ opens for enrollment Fall 2026. Join the waitlist to be first to know to receive early access and founding member pricing when enrollment opens.
What certification do I receive?
On successful completion you receive certification as a Full-Spectrum Celebrant™. This represents comprehensive celebrancy training with a specific focus on inclusive and affirming practice.
How much time does the course require each week?
The course is designed around 5 hours per week across six months. That includes video lessons, written exercises, reading, and your practice ceremonies. The asynchronous format means you work at your own pace within the program timeline.
Will this course allow me to legally officiate weddings?
The course guides you through obtaining ordination. Legal standing requirements vary by state and the course includes guidance on how to navigate this in your specific location.
Working with Suzy
Are you based in Ohio? Can you work with me if I'm elsewhere?
Based in Germantown, Ohio and available for in-person ceremonies and sessions in the Miami Valley areas. Virtual consultations and ceremonies are available for clients. The course and mentorship is available to students everywhere.
I struggle with phone calls. How do you prefer to communicate?
Written communication is always an option and is genuinely welcomed. Email, written consultation forms, async voice memos, or whatever communication format works best for you. You will never be required to make a phone call to work together! Just let me know your preference when you reach out.
What if I'm not sure what I need?
Reach out anyway. A lot of people arrive here knowing something significant has happened or is happening, but not knowing what to call it. The first conversation is always free, always low pressure, and always just a conversation.
Do you offer sliding scale pricing?
Yes, on a limited basis for ceremonies and photography sessions. If cost is a barrier, please reach out and say so. It will be handled with care and without judgment. The work is too important to be accessible only to people who can pay full price.
